Time to rectify that with an opportunity to win ‘Secret Gardens of the Cotswolds’ published by Frances Lincoln.  Here’s what they have to say about it:

Victoria Summerley is an award-winning garden journalist and was executive editor of the Independent newspaper in the UK.  She lives in Bibury, Gloucestershire, the village once described by William Morris as ‘the most beautiful village in the Cotswolds’.

Hugo Rittson-Thomas is one of the UK’s leading portrait photographers. In 2012 he was privately commissioned to photograph the Cotswolds gardens of Eyford House.

  6. It is a long time since I have been to the Cotswolds. I was supposed to go last year but was not able to so am planning to make it there this year with my family. I would really love to have this book to linger over.

  14. They won’t be secret for much longer once the book comes out – I have only visited Prince Charles’ garden so far in the Cotswolds – the least secret garden of all! You can put me in the hat for good measure.

  23. I’m not entering (obviously), but wow, what a gorgeous cover photo on that book. Good thing I’m here and not there, or I would have drooled on it (sorry), and then you wouldn’t be able to give it away any more.

    Also, I admire how posh you’ve become–using your best hat these days for the drawings.

    • Yes Stacy. Drooling is a danger and something I fight against almost constantly. To little effect. It’s my age. I said prettiest hat actually – it certainly isn’t my best or poshest. Dave

  30. I cac tell it’s a lovely book if the photo on the cover is anything to go by. So please add me to the draw. Mind you I would have to make a space for it somewhere in the bookcase as any gaps were filled at Christmas….

  33. When I first started gardening some 30 years ago I read a book by Mary Keen and she inspired me then, she had a simple approach, which back then was what I needed. If I won the book I could reconnect with her….. Thank you .

  41. David, I would LOVE to win this book! I believe the photo on the front is of Asthall Manor, which I was lucky enough to visit in June 2014. It was absolutely divine. Living in Sydney at the moment, I miss English gardens so much, and the Cotswolds is one of my very favourite places. If I won, my parents, from Buckinghamshire, could bring the book out to me – I would adore being able to get a ‘fix’ of these gorgeous gardens from afar. Here’s hoping!
