I was very pleased with it. Tom made a lovely job with the wood. All that green oak (it's 8 ft long) was only £45 – which has to be a bargain!
Love the bench. As you say, that would cost a small fortune if bought new today. It's satisfying to renew things and know that they'll last for many more years.
